We ask you to prayerfully consider supporting our family as we walk 5K to raise support for refugee and immigrant families in the US. Each step and every dollar helps to support children and reunite families. #GoFurtherForFamily
When I was a kid, my church took in many of the Sudanese Lost Boys and Girls through Bethany Christian Services. Families agreed to foster these children who had been through unbelievable trauma until these kids grew up. It was such a cool act of love from quite a few families to embrace and help these refugee kids.
This past year, my church (different than my childhood church) spent some time focusing on the Rohingya people, and the 700,000 children in refugee camps in Bangladesh. We were all impacted by this experience, and it helped us turn our hearts towards this need.
Today, Bethany Christian is still helping refugee kids and families. I'm excited to walk a 5K to support this work. Would you pray about partnering with us in some way? Pray for the refugee kids around the world (about 10 million of them), and prayerfully consider if God would have you partner financially or even begin the journey to foster a refugee child yourself.
