Story

My mum, Rhian Griffiths lost her battle with cancer on 14th of February 2013 at 52 years old.

During the 6 years following her diagnosis, she struggled physically and mentally to carry on living her life with the awful disease. During this time, Cardigan Cancer Care helped make things a little easier by offering both financial support as well as being able to talk to someone who has been there themselves.

Rhian devoted her life to caring for others; she worked at local schools and care homes. She took pride in taking care of the needs of young children, children with learning difficulties and care home residents. She also applied her caring nature to her personal life by being a loving mum to my brother & I, whilst also looking after her own mum & dad.

Since my mothers death, it's been on my mind to raise money to give back to this fantastic charity, but due to the busy modern lifestyle between work and family life, I've always felt I lacked the spare time. As this year will be the 10th year, I've committed myself to a challenge which is to climb the highest peak in Wales.

I'd be so grateful if you could give however much you can towards the cause to allow Cardigan Cancer Care to continue to help others who are in the same unfortunate situation as my mum was. Diolch, Thank you.
