I am running the 2018 London Marathon for Mencap because I believe it is a charity doing incredible work and changing lives. Having known several people with learning disabilities, across a variety of ages, has really inspired me to fundraise for a charity that I know will hugely benefit them. Furthermore last summer I volunteered for a Mencap residential holiday camp run for the benefit of disabled children aged 8-18, which was an eye-opening experience and gave me a first hand experience into the truly wonderful work that Mencap does.
