On the 7th of April (Easter Saturday), we are running the Old Mutual Two Oceans Half Marathon (13.1 miles) in Cape Town, South Africa, with the goal of beating our target times and, more importantly, fundraising for the Global Fund for Children.
The Global Fund for Children was founded in 1994 and since then has awarded more than $21m in grants to nearly 500 grassroots organisations in 78 countries around the world working to support vulnerable children in their local communities and to provide them with opportunities for a better future. For those who wish to know more about the Global Fund for Children, please visit their website at www.globalfundforchildren.org.
We have set a fundraising target of £3,000 and would be thrilled and grateful if you would like to help us reach this by making a donation via this page.*
We have pledged to match donations up to a maximum of £500 if we meet our target times of 2 hrs (approx 9 mins/mile) (Dylan) and 2 hrs 15 mins (approx 10 mins/mile) (Ru-Woei) or £700 if we exceed our target times.
With only 4 more weeks to go, we are in the final stage of our training and are looking forward to the the race. We thank you in advance for your support and encouragment which we will definitely carry with us on the day!
