Story
Dyspraxic Me was founded 10 years ago to help support dyspraxic young adults. In that time, we’ve had 96 meetings, and taken part in a wide range of activities from cycling to cooking to zine-making; our yearly picnics and Dyspraxia Awareness week events.
Sadly over the last year we have found it difficult to raise the funds needed to keep hosting regular Dyspraxic Me meetings. Each year Dyspraxic Me needs to raise a minimum of £1,000 to keep the charity going. This funding pays for our venues, facilitators who deliver interesting, fun and useful sessions and some minimal but essential admin costs.
After last month's Occupational Therapy session, we don’t currently have the money to run more sessions. This means we are not planning any more sessions while the trustees focus on raising funds to make sure Dyspraxic Me can keep running in the future.
We are planning a big fundraising activity to celebrate the 10th birthday of Dyspraxic Me in June. We will be completing a 10 mile walk around 10 London locations Dyspraxic Me has used in the last 10 years. We will be looking for sponsors and donations in the lead up to the walk taking place.
