In support of the very special Simon Brennan, who has recently been diagnosed with a progressive and very aggressive form of Motor Neurone Disease (ALS), I am going to attempt the DC 1/2 marathon this March.

For both Simon and his wonderful family, I am raising money for 'My Name'5 Doddie Foundation', in the hope that with more research we can find a cure for this utterly cruel and devastating disease. 

Any donation, big or small, will be so gratefully received by not only me, but Simon, his family, and those ALS sufferers who cannot afford the end of life care required, as the disease renders its victims immobile and ultimately, unable to breathe. 

With little exercise behind me I can only aspire to be like Simon, who is truly an inspiration to us all.
