Story
My incredible friend Gaz, lost his 8 year battle with sarcoma last year after over 45 rounds of chemo.
Gaz's energy was electric, bringing this energy into absolutely everything he did. When Gaz's diagnosis became terminal he immediately focused all of his efforts on raising as much money as possible for Sarcoma UK. In 2021 between chemo rounds he led the charities largest fundraising event to date, cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats helping to raise over £140,000 for Sarcoma UK.
After completing this Gaz set his sights on completing the Three Peaks Challenge for Sarcoma UK but due to his health he was unable to. So, 50 of us are going to be completing the challenge in memory of our Gaz. This one is for you, Gaz
Sarcoma UK is a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments. Sarcoma is a type of cancer that develops in the bone and soft tissue. It is difficult to diagnose and one of the hardest to treat. By supporting me, we can help change this. Your donation will help researchers find answers, keep the specialist Support Line open, and raise awareness to improve treatment and standards of care. Your donations go so far in helping the sarcoma community:
- £1 Could cover the cost of 10 texts to the support line.
- £10 Could be used to buy microscope slides to look at cells in minute detail.
- £30 Could fund one hour of use of a high-powered laboratory microscope.
- £150 Could fund the support line for a week.
Thank you for your support.
