Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund is the only national charity dedicated solely to beating pancreatic cancer through research. Survival rates are low, so new research is vital. In the past, this cancer received little attention. With your help, we can change this so more people beat pancreatic cancer.

Story

We lost our Mum to pancreatic cancer in 2014. Pancreatic cancer is the 5th most common but has the lowest survival rate of all cancers. It is notoriously difficult to diagnose and there is still a huge amount or research that needs to be funded to help combat this disease.

We have therefore hatched a plan to use our combined skills as musicians to put on a series of recitals in the Lake District over the first weekend of August 2018. “Where is the challenge in that?”, I hear you cry. Well, we have decided to combine this with a pursuit to which neither of us is accustomed; physical activity. We will cycle the 200 miles of the Lakes and Dales Loop from Thursday 2nd August to Monday 6th August with either a lunchtime or evening recital of English Song each day.

We ask you, kind and generous people, to support us in our musical and cycling sojourn and our chosen charity by sponsorship and/or by turning up to one of our recitals and making a donation at the concert. All donations will be given to Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund
