In May 2018 myself and my mum, Nikki, will be walking 26.2 miles, through the streets of London, through the middle of the night...in our bras!

Wearing bras during the walk is the trademark of the charity, and men and women alike will don their undergarments and take to the streets with the aim of raising awareness and fundraising for Walk the Walk charity. Walk the Walk is a grant making charity that raises money for vital breast cancer causes. My Grandpa sadly died last year from Alzheimer's; the few years before he passed away were difficult for us all as a family but especially heartbreaking for his wife, my Granny. 

Having dealt with this cruel illness and then his passing, my Granny, resilient and strong as ever, was diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2017. The cancer has also been found in her bones. 

1 in 8 women in the UK will be diagnosed with breast cancer at some point in their lives, and 400 men are diagnosed each year.
