An appeal for wildlife at the Little Wittenham Nature Reserve · 4 March 2013

Earth Trust is a place-based environmental charity, looking after some of the most cherished green spaces in Oxfordshire. Our purpose is to tackle the urgent challenges of climate change and biodiversity loss while fostering meaningful connections between people and nature, for health and wellbeing.

Story

The Little Wittenham Nature Reserve, famous for the Wittenham Clumps and Little Wittenham Wood, is home to an enormous range of wildlife including several important species for whom it is a crucial stronghold in Britain. However, population numbers of some key species on the reserve are still at risk.

We need to raise £10,000 in order to safeguard wildlife populations on the reserve

We need your help so that we can all continue to benefit from the many important habitats and species found on Earth Trust Nature Reserves. Our goal is to enable wildlife to thrive across all our sites now and into the future.

£15 could pay for one sack of wildflower seed, enough for 300 square metres of wildflower meadow
£20 could help us introduce a wildflower margain or create two metres of hedgerow
£30 could create and sustain enough suitable habitat to support a pair of great crested newts
£50 could allow us to buy and install one bat box in Little Wittenham Wood
£100 could also support important bat and bird ringing and monitoring programmes.

We are over half way there but we need your help to reach our goal, please help us take action by donating today!
