Millions of people across East Africa are in an immediate crisis due to poor or no rain fall at
all. This has led to crops & livestock to either wither away or die. This has now caused a harsh increase in food crisis, leaving those families who cannot afford to buy food starving especially Women & Children.
World Food Programme have reported
“The drought crisis in the Horn of Africa is a Level 2 Emergency. Some 2.9 million people in Somalia is being categorized as either crisis or emergency (Integrated Phase Classification (IPC) levels 3 and 4 and require urgent humanitarian assistance.”
Global Aid Trust (GAT)
is currently at ground level distributing food & water where necessary.
