Over the last few months, St John Ambulance has been working with the NHS to provide clinical and non-clinical support during the pandemic. As a result, the charity is conducting an emergency fundraising appeal in order to raise money to support the future of the charity. Many of our volunteers in the East District Student Volunteering Units (University of London and Queen Mary) have been helping in various ways in order to do what they can to help out during this difficult period. Normally, our volunteers are typically found at high profile events such as London Marathon, British Summertime Hyde Park Concerts and Wimbledon. Instead, they have been crewing ambulances, volunteering in our regional admin hubs, supporting hospital wards, recruiting cabin crew etc. in order to play our part.
