Chilterns Dog Rescue Society was founded in 1963 & since then has rescued, rehabilitated & rehomed tens of thousands of dogs & puppies in need. Thanks to the support of the public, CDRS will soon celebrate 60 years of rescue work. Your generosity will help us to keep putting dogs first. Thank you.

Story

In January this year, we were matched with Molly - a border terrier cross - through Chilterns Dog Rescue Society (CDRS). We wanted to provide a forever home for a rescue pup. Too many dogs are abandoned or unwanted through no fault of their own.

Molly is a bundle of energy and definitely keeps us on our toes. She's confident, brave, independent, playful and friendly. She wants to snif/boop every hooman and pooch she comes across.

So we've set her a challenge... 5km to raise awareness of, and much needed funds for, CDRS.

Over the next 4 months we'll be training together to take on Dog Jog in Victoria Park London on 28 October. Molly's still a pup, and will be exactly 1 year old on the big day. We'll be taking it slow and steady as she's still growing, with events like the 2.5km Simplyhealth Canine Run.

Dog Jog will be her first official event... come on mini legs!

Molly's a true terrier; she has boundless energy, a strong hunting instinct, is wilful and has a big personality for her small size. So we'll be working hard to keep her focused!

We'll be documenting our training journey via her website (www.eastendmolly.uk) and Instagram (@eastendmolly) with all our mini victories and stumbles. Follow and cheer us on!

Ultimately we want to give back to a charity that does so much for dogs in need. Chilterns Dog Rescue Society refuses to put dogs down, provides extensive veterinary care and training for dogs that need it and finds forever homes for hundreds of dogs every year.

Please donate to give abandoned and unwanted dogs a happy future, just like Molly.
