Story
After finding out I had mild scoliosis as a teenager, I was told that I would never run further than 13 miles without causing serious damage to my spine.
Since then, trying to prove them wrong has become somewhat of a hobby. After completing a couple of half marathons, a road marathon and then a 30 mile trail race, I wanted to up the mileage level a little...
I'm running three races... Ashridge Estate 16.3 mile trail, Radnage 13.5 mile trail, finishing off with London Landmarks Half Marathon where I hope to come in under 2 hours despite my sore legs!
I've decided to do this after having met Matt seven years ago, and having the honour to see first hand the difference the work he and the foundation makes to their beneficiaries and their families. The foundation gives much needed financial help to those injured, providing physio and equipment costs, direct grants or by paying into existing and future funds to assist with equipment, technology or just every day expenses. But most importantly, the foundation provides a place for support and inspiration to those living with life changing injuries.
My challenge pales in significance to those faced every day by their beneficiaries, and it's up to us to raise as much money as possible!
