Ebola the top threat world is facing today based on how many it has impacted already and how badly it can impact the world if we get it wrong. It is spreading so fast that something which was out "there" in west africa but now it is at the doorsteps of many nations. The disease is increasing so fast that UN has said they now need $1 billion to tackle Ebola which was around $100 last month (so a 10 fold increase). One report suggests that only 1/4th of what is needed ($1 bn) has been pldeged by the different nations so far. The US and UK has pledged to build many beds which is currently needed but not many know who will commit to additional staff needed to make use of these beds. It is understanable that not many wants to go to West Africa to help fight Ebola. Under such circumstances, Doctors without Borders, an NGO has lined up around 3000 of its personnel which is highly commendable. The least we can do under such circumstances is to support them financially and hence I have set up this page.
