Story
Pinch me — I’m going back to London, this time with Make-A-Wish UK. 💙
I am beyond excited to share that I’ll be running the 2027 London Marathon with Make-A-Wish UK.
I first learned about Make-A-Wish in high school through a TV program. Later, at the University of South Carolina, I joined Chi Omega and worked on the philanthropy team, where I helped plan and support events that directly benefited Make-A-Wish South Carolina.
In 2023, I ran the London Marathon as my fifth marathon, and the one word I kept coming back to every time someone asked about it was magic.
It’s been 10 years since I was actively involved with Make-A-Wish and three years since I ran through London, but the opportunity to run 26.2 miles through my favorite city while supporting this mission again is an absolute dream I couldn’t pass up.
Because Make-A-Wish is about making dreams come true for kids who are so deserving of joy, hope, and something truly special. For more than 134,000 children across the UK, everyday life is shaped by hospital visits, treatments and uncertainty rather than the simple experiences most children take for granted.
Make‑A‑Wish UK exists to give these children something positive to hold on to. By granting carefully chosen wishes, the charity helps create moments of excitement, strength and happiness at a time when families need it most. These experiences can offer children a break from illness and give families memories they will carry with them long into the future
If you’re able to support, my donation link is in my bio.
Thank you for supporting Make-A-Wish and the families I’ll be running for next April.
