This year we have decided to raise funds for the Spinal Unit Recreational Fund (SURF).

SURF provide regular activities and gatherings for both current and former patients of the Yorkshire Spinal Unit. These include in-house events and also outings, for both the patient and their families. This provides some escapism from very long hospital stays and allows a sense of normality, at least for a few hours.

My mum, Linda, became paraplegic after an operation on her Spine in August 2019, she then spent nearly 5 months healing and rehabilitating, SURF made her stay much more enjoyable.
