If you haven't heard of LifeCare they provide services to older people within Edinburgh. The Centre is also a valuable community hub which is well used by most people within Stockbridge, particularly if you have kids. 

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic they are continuing to provide much needed support to the community through such things as a shopping service to priority clients and a phone based service to provide support to vulnerable adults during self-isolation.

To help them continue to provide these services I am going to be running a marathon in a private lane accessed from my back garden on 2nd May. I will be doing about 160 loops of the lane to complete the marathon (the length of each loop is around 260 metres). Although I run regularly I have never done a marathon so don't fully know what to expect and am certainly not making it any easier by doing it on my own without any other competitors or spectators (apart from my wife and 2 children)!
