Story
I'm sorry to ask you to put your hand in your pocket during a period of economic strife but I need your help. Those of you who have seen me recently may have noticed that I'm ballooning. Unfortunately I don't mean i'm flying over the East Anglian countryside in a basket. I mean i'm carrying a few extra pounds which appear to be increasing weekly. Something needs to be done.
In order to downsize, a project was required that would get my backside off the sofa and with fortunate timing a friend suggested a bike ride from London to Paris in September.
So that's 6 months of training starting now and culminating in a 300km bike ride. By the time i've finished I want to be a stone lighter and thanks to you wonderful people a few quid richer, which will enable Cancer Campaign in Suffolk to continue with their fantastic work helping patients and their families who have been affected by cancer. They were there for my family and I when we needed them, and thanks to you lovely people they will be there to help others for many years to come.
I'm writing this exactly one year after I was diagnosed with cancer. I don't doubt that my journey during the past 12 months would have been much tougher had it not been for CCIS.
Donations from you however small will give me the extra motivation required to put down the cookie jar and get on my bike so please give whatever you can.
Please pass my page details on to your friends and colleagues and share the burden.
Thank you so much.
