This year, triathletes across Ireland will raise money to help suicide prevention through a joint initiative between Triathlon Ireland, BMW Group Ireland and Pieta House.
The development sees Pieta become Triathlon Irelands Official Charity Partner in a move that will provide increased funding for Pieta House which provides a free, therapeutic approach to people who are in suicidal distress and those who engage in self-harm.
Funds that are raised through Triathlon Ireland will contribute to Pieta Houses A Life a Day initiative which focuses on raising money for the cost of a full programme of counselling for someone is suffering with their mental health.
Funds will also support the Resilience Academy, an initiative by Pieta House to teach school-going children positive mental health techniques and strategies. The Resilience Academy is a six-week, evidence-based programme that was designed with schools, for schools. You support helps us to continue provide all of this free of charge.
