Story

Help me change lives by supporting South Shore Habitat for Humanity. Safe and affordable Habitat homes are made possible through the sweat equity of family partners, and the generosity of volunteers and donors! Join me by donating and/or starting your own fundraiser based on the # 250. And so they built a life they love. Not only do children benefit from improved educational opportunities, the healthy environment of a Habitat home is life-changing. According to Dr. Megan Sandel, Associate Professor of pediatrics at Boston University Schools of Medicine: "Where you live may be the strongest predictor of your health. ...When families can afford healthy housing, it can reduce lost days of work for parents to care for sick children, reduce overall health care costs, and enable children to reach their inherent potential as productive members of society. Investing in affordable housing is good for families and for society."
