Story

Firstly, thanks to Katharine at Sarcoma UK and to Derek Watkins' family for giving me the opportunity to be able to raise money for the Sarcoma charity on the Prudential ride.

My two reasons for taking on this challenge are to remember our friend Derek and to raise as much awareness and money for Sarcoma UK - you can find out more about this strain of cancer on www.sarcoma.org.uk

For those of you who we're unfortunate not to have known or meet Derek, I'm sorry because you missed a treat! A huge character and immense musician that rarely come along in one package. For those of you that did know him, I say no more! Please read about Derek's life on the website dedicated to him at www.derekwatkins.co.uk

I've set a target of £1000 but hope that this can exceeded (by lots)!

Finally, thanks for taking the time to visit this page and read about the cause and that you are able to make a contribution .... no matter how large!

It will be tough and I hope, an incredible experience. There will be lots of time to remember people like Derek, who lost his fight against cancer but also to remember all the friends that have beaten it! This is in no small part down to the amazing work by organisations such as Sarcoma UK.
