Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

3 years ago our beautiful baby boy Charlie died a week before he was due to be born. When your life is flipped upside down in this way, finding others who have been through similar and managed to survive is really important, not only to support you through the early days but also to give you hope for the future.

From the information booklets we left hospital with after Charlie was born, to the monthly in-person meetings we’ve been to, Sands are there when we need that support, which is why I want to raise as much as I can for them.

When I saw this challenge I knew straight away it was something I had to do. My best friend Helen has been by my side throughout everything and I’m so glad she’s mad enough to do this with me. Sands have organised the event and many other bereaved parents will be taking on this challenge at the same time.

We will be starting just before midnight on 21st May and climbing Snowdon by torchlight through the night. We’re aiming to reach the summit by the early hours of the morning where we can think of our babies while watching the sun rise.

It’s going to be dark, cold and probably very wet 🙈, but it will all be worth it. For Charlie 💙 and all the other babies who couldn’t stay 🧡.

Thanks for your support.

Ellie & Helen xx
