Thank you for your interest in Birmingham Dogs Homes Healing Hearts Appeal. 2021 is a big year for our charity as we start work on building our very own veterinary clinic. Your support is so important for dogs like Teddie and Bentley.

Story

Veterinary care is one of the biggest ongoing costs for our BDH. In 2020 they spent over £230,000 on life-saving and life-changing treatments and this cost is rising every year. They accept every dog that needs their help, no matter their condition. Many of the dogs brought in are strays which means that they are often malnourished or have suffered some form of neglect or abuse, including multiple injuries or untreated medical conditions. Sometimes dogs are handed over by owners because the cost of their medical treatment is too much for them. The vet clinic will significantly reduce their vet bills and enable them to better manage both emergency cases and the ongoing physical health of the dogs they receive on a daily basis. Donations of any size will make a BIG difference to the homeless dogs in their care. Here are some examples... £8 can pay for antibiotic ointment, gauze wipes and towels £ 44 can pay for an IV fluid stand £97 can pay for a stretcher trolley
