Story

As a group of 8 EDF energy employees we have signed up to complete the South West Tough Mudder 5km to push ourselves to the limit and raise awareness and money for Prostate Cancer Research UK. We are also completing various other fundraising activities in the hope of raising as much money as possible!

Our Team Members:

Charlotte Hart, Jessica Tso, Chiyedza Dziva Chikwari, Andy Wang, Cole Chesterton, Andrew Welsh, Campbell Kerr and Rob Ellis.

The Challenge:

We are aiming to complete the Tough Mudder South West 5km event in under 1hour 30mins on Saturday 12th August 2023 at Badminton Estate. The event consist of 5km of running combined with 13 obstacles, some of which even include electric shocks! For a full list of the obstacles and to see what we have signed up for visit:
Obstacles in a Tough Mudder UK Mud Run - Tough Mudder UK UK

For us to complete the event in under an hour and a half we will have to complete each obstacle in under 4mins and run the 5km in less than 35mins!

We will all be training hard for this event so please donate if you can. Once complete we will share some very muddy photos of ourselves to this page as proof!

Your Donation:

£5 - could pay for 25 pipette tips, which help scientists work with extreme accuracy when performing experiments

£10 - could pay for ten microscope slides, which are used by scientists to look at the effects of new treatments on tiny sections of prostate for signs of successful treatment

£20 - could pay for one hour of a researcher’s time, bringing us closer to beating prostate cancer
