Edge Of's 24 Hour Charity Painting Stream

Why am I doing this, well, I loved Lee, he was one of my best friends growing up and we were more than friends, we were basically family.
His mum was the first person to befriend us when we moved to the house in which i spent my formative years, his parents and mine are still the best of friends today.
At 17 Lee was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma and he faced that disease with amazing courage undergoing several bone marrow transplants and chemotherapy rounds.
And during this he never stopped smiling, and was always there to help others as best he could, completing his A-Levels and even beginning a degree. In spite of his illness, he lived the best life he could and brought joy to others.
In 2005 the Willow Foundation did something amazing for Lee, they arranged for Lee and his band to spend time at Slap Studios in Brixton where with his band, Postillionage, they were able to record a track in a fully equipped professional studio with a proper engineer and everything.
I got to speak to Lee afterwards and he was absolutely buzzing, it made a real difference to him and lifted his spirits so high, it gave his friends some amazing memories.
Since his passing in 2006, those friends and family whose lives he touched in so many amazing ways have gone on to honour this remarkable young man by raising money for the Willow Foundation, most prominently with the music festival LeeStock held in Long Melford just outside Lees hometown of Sudbury.
This event can't happen this year as a result of Covid, but will be back next year, in the meantime, I want to try and raise a bit of money that is not going to be raised this year, so I will be spending 24 hours, painting an Adepta Sororitas Sisters of Battle Army Set. That's 25 models in 24 hours.
I will be live streaming this on Twitch, YouTube and Facebook. I will also be raffling off some prizes to people who have donated, including an Adeptus Titanicus Titan Battlegroup boxset! Every £1 donated via JustGiving gets you a ticket to the raffles.
You can see a gallery of all the prizes on offer here:- https://imgur.com/a/MXCDeEX
So thank you very much for your donations and I look forward to seeing if I can complete this challenge!
About the Willow Foundation
At Willow we believe in quality of life and quality of time. Willow is the only national charity working with seriously ill young adults aged 16 to 40 to fulfil uplifting and unforgettable Special Days. This year we hope to fulfil 1,400 Special Days – a day to anticipate, to share and to remember when happy memories really do count. Sadly for some, it’s a last chance to fulfil a dream with the people that really matter. Thankfully for many more their Special Day is an important opportunity to put much-needed normality back into living.
