Story
Jake Hodder and Alan Burdett are walking over 500 miles: starting from Edinburgh Castle in Scotland and walking the length of the country and ending at Big Ben in Central London. This is to raise as much money as possible for AVERT (see www.avert.org), a charity funding research, support and education globally for those suffering from AIDS or are HIV+.
During the 3-4 week trek they aim to continue collecting money on route as well as spreading awareness in the towns and cities they pass through.
We owe a huge amount to our commercial sponsors, Camden Lock Market for their generous donation and support, and KillerStrawberry for production of all promotional material and store collection support.
They are in the process of obtaining more support and promotion from local/national press, watch this space to keep updated!
You can get involved by giving generously, any donations through this site will automatically apply for gift aid (an extra 28%), so any amount really will make a difference. AVERT's running costs have already been met meaning that 100% of your donations will go to helping.
Thank you for your support.
facebookers can join the group for updates: http://nottinghamac.facebook.com/group.php?gid=12619107587&ref=nf
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor them: AVERT will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you
