The Nepal Trust is working with Health, Education, Renewable Energy, Heritage Preservation and Eco-Tourism in the far NW of Nepal. Its main objective is to help create community projects that emphasize local participation and responsibility and give hope to the people of this very remote and impoverished area, where every day is a struggle for survival.

Story

Our aim is to cycle all the way from Edinburgh to Everest Base Camp, a mere 11000km!  We will use a relay system, with one person on the road and a support vehicle, carrying the other team members and kit. The trip hopes to raise money and awareness for the Nepal Trust.

We have chosen to support two projects:  The first will help refurbish and equip a rural health post in Humla.  The second, a project termed “Little Doctors”, aims to train young people from the region in basic medical care, enabling them to not only provide an invaluable service to their communities but to teach and equip the people of Humla with lifelong skills.

Thank you very much for your support.
