Every two hours someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. It can happen to anyone at any time and no one is prepared for how it will change their life. Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help, supporting spinal cord injured people from injury to independence.

Story

Hi there,

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page.

We are raising money for Aspire by cycling as a team to Everest Base Camp from Edinburgh. The journey is just over 11000km and will take us 13 weeks. We have already made it to China and are about to embark on the toughest section of the journey - onto the Tibetan Plateau, where the average altitude is over 4000m.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: ASPIRE will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support.
