Meadowss Marathon · 2 March 2014
The Edinburgh MS Society are taking Gambado the tiger on a five kilometre Fun Run around Edinburgh's Meadows all in aid of the MS Society.
Multiple Sclerosis is a neurological disease that affects the nerves. Nerve cells are protected by a coating of myelin. With MS, the body's immune system attacks the myelin, damaging the nerves, and leading to things such as mobility problems, psychological problems and much more.
The Edinburgh MS Society is a group of students from the University of Edinburgh committed to raising money and awareness for the MS Society, but this time, they've recruited a new friend to run along with them - Gambado, from the soft-play centre of the same name in Fountain Park. Let's hope he's in shape!
