Story
Hi everyone!
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Those of you who have brothers and sisters are fully aware of sibling rivalry. My sister and I are no different, in fact probably worse than others and so when I knew that she was taking part in the London Triathlon on 27 July I had to enter as well. So here I am a couple of months after entering, in full swing of my training.
I have always considered myself to be reasonably, fit having played football all my life so this challenge should be a walk in park. If it was just running yes but it is not. Swimming – I cannot float, Katherine has taken me to basics here and taught me strokes again. Cycling: I didn’t own a bike so started on the old faithful – Boris Bikes and it took me over five minutes to turn right at canary wharf! This ‘walk in the park’ suddenly became a challenge.
The training is coming along and my training partner, Katherine, keeps me on the straight and narrow. Your generous donations will spur me on further and I will complete the triathlon.
A charity close to my heart The Stroke Association is whom I will be raising money for. A few years back my grandfather passed away after having a stroke. It was a difficult time that had an effect on the whole family. Although people over 65 are more likely to have a stroke anyone can, including children and even babies. Stroke association can provide practical, emotional and financial support.
