To celebrate our 70th Anniversary, DUHWS are attempting to climb all 214 Wainwrights in the Lake District in just 24 hours. DUHWS members will also be aiming to raise donations to help support Mountain Rescue. The donations raised will be split 50:50 between Teesdale & Weardale Search & Mountain Rescue (the local team for County Durham) and Lake District Search and Mountain Rescue Association which is the umbrella body for mountain rescue teams in Cumbria and distributes donations to individual teams. Please note all donations on this Justgiving page will initially be received by Teesdale & Weardale Search & Mountain Rescue. After the event is completed and closure of the fundraising page the charity will ensure 50% share of net proceeds are transferred to the Lake District Search and Mountain Rescue Association charity.
