Irish Hospice Foundation is a national charity that addresses dying, death and bereavement in Ireland. Our vision is an Ireland where people facing end of life or bereavement, and those who care for them, are provided with the care and support that they need.

Story

Death and taxes are two certainties. Taxes I can handle, but death is another kettle of fish!

We have all experienced the pain of death of family and friends. Over time, I have come to appreciate the value of the work carried out by the Irish Hospice Foundation. The Irish Hospice Foundation is a national charity dedicated to all matters relating to dying, death and bereavement in Ireland.

No one should face death or bereavement without the care and support they need. For providing dignity, comfort and choice for people facing the end of life, this great charity deserves our support.

The freedom and joy I experience while cycling with friends contrasts so sharply with the experience of those facing death or bereavement. The cycle from Paris to Nice will be enormously demanding for me, but the knowledge that my efforts will provide some support to this deserving charity will make the effort (and pain!) very worthwhile.
