Story
Employee employees and friends are doing a 24 hr run/walk around the perimeter of GWR Edrington site on Saturday 12th June 8am until Sun 13th June 8am.
We are fundraising for an employee in the Whisky Supply team who has a 5 year old autistic son needing lots of care. He requires a safe space room to be installed in his bedroom at a cost of £7,500 which the social work and council will not help fund.
We are going to fundraising through Clydebank Special Needs Forum who will pass the amount raised onto the employee to complete the installation. Any additional funds raised will benefit the Clydebank Special Needs Forum ongoing charitable services.
A note from Finlay's Mum and Dad:
'Finlay is 5 years old and has autism. He also has complex sensory needs and is non-verbal.
He has no awareness of danger so requires 24hr care. He
requires a purpose built ‘safe space’ in his bedroom which will help keep him safe at night. During the day Findlay will be able to use the safe space to self-regulate and keep calm. This safe space will make an enormous difference in Finlay’s life.
We would like to thank everyone who is volunteering their
time to take part in the 24hr sponsored walk/run. We would also like to thank everyone who has kindly donated money so far and those who have helped organise this event.
We are very humbled and overwhelmed by people’s kindness and generosity.
Thank you again, Finlay’s Mum and Dad '
