My lifelong battle with a Mental Health condition– which lead to hospitalization twice in 2015, the first time being around this exact time that year (January/February)– has always pushed me to want to make a difference for others. That year, five years ago now, was a wake-up call that mental health is just as important as physical health and if we don't take care of it or get the right support, it can have a significant effect on our lives and that of others around us. So, let's keep prioritising our MH, and seeking help from services (like Mind) that help us do just that. Without Mind, I know I won't be here to tell this story, and campaign for others. 💚

As you all may know, raising Mental Health Awareness is one of my true passions...the other being having a laugh with people I care about! So, to celebrate having #BeatTheJanuaryBlues and #TimeToTalkDay .....and pre-Valentine's agapé love (lol), I am hosting a games night for a few of the funniest and smartest minds I know. 

Donations are VERY welcome from those not attending. If everyone on my Facebook friends list donated 50p, I would raise over double what my goal is; so please, no donation is 'too small'-- 'Every little helps'. SHARE THE LINK WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY! 

This is also an opportunity to reboot my #EducationToEndStigma social media campaign, which is available to view on @rhul_mhn on Instagram. The aim of the campaign was to raise awareness and provide information on other MH issues that may affect students that aren’t Depression and Anxiety. As an MH Awareness Campaigner, I am so glad and grateful that those two conditions are FINALLY getting the awareness and attention they have long deserved! However, there are so many more MH issues that STILL face stigma and are overlooked, and as a #TimeToChangeChampion I would love to change that narrative
