To the Black Mountains and Back · 10 February 2013

Longtown MRT provides an emergency rescue service for anyone who is lost or injured in the mountains, rural or urban environment for whatever reason. We are self funding and operate 24/7 in all weather conditions, staffed entirely by unpaid volunteers.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Over 4 days around the Summer Solstice 2013, I will be cycling 65 miles from Shropshire to the top of the Gospel Pass (the highest road in Wales). I will then climb Hay Bluff. From the summit of the mountain I will walk back to Shropshire following Offas Dyke, the Kerry Ridgeway and the Shropshire Way. I will walk a total distance of 87 miles over hilly country.

I am raising money for Longtown Mountain Rescue in the Black Mountains. They do a wonderful job saving lives in the mountains. They are all volunteers and are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

So please dig deep and donate now.
