Thanks for taking the time to visit. I spend all my working life fretting about energy: how much it costs, how much we're using, how we can save more. For us, it's there at the flick of a switch and it's very much a basic human right, right? There are millions of people throughout the globe who live in rural communities completely cut off from the grid and have never had the advantages that electricity brings. Lights when it's dark, for example. So, in order to raise awareness of the issue of Energy poverty and to draw attention to Hilton's own efficiency actions, I'm going to cycle, with Tommy Nagle, Iarla Lewis and Will Clark, from the north west coast of mainland Europe to Asia at the crossing of the Bosphorus in Istanbul. that's 2100 miles in 21 days. For the sharp eyed mathematicians amongst you, that's 100 miles a day. I'll no doubt be eating a lot to compensate. You'll also be able to track our whereabouts:

What's my goal? I want to raise enough to fund the installation of an entire renewable energy project in an off grid rural community. How big that project is and how many people's lives we bring electricity to is entirely down to you!
