Teenage cancer trust walk

Edward Jones is raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust

Team: Walk the Wall for Maisie100 !!

In memory of Maisie Colquhoun
We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

In early September 6th I’ll be walking 94 miles across the country (Hadrians wall) for Teenage Cancer Trust - our local ward Addenbrookes C9 need funding to ensure they can continue to support young people’s lives.

This is going to be a huge challenge for me personally and is for a great cause.

Background/story
We’re walking as a group in memory of a young girl. Maisie was a very vibrant and courageous girl who was diagnosed with a rare aggressive bone cancer called Ewing’s Sarcoma. In 2014 at 15 years old, she underwent intensive rounds of chemotherapy, radiotherapy and a stem cell transplant, all at ward C9 at Addenbrookes hospital, Cambridge. This was all facilitated by Teenage Cancer Trust, who fund 28 specialist units across the U.K. and 48 nurses and youth support coordinators.
