The Trust supports youth work in Tower Hamlets to provide support, education and opportunity for young people. We support one or more charities working with young people and make a donation to them with specific goals in mind to ensure that some good will come out of Frank's tragic death.

Story

A few months ago I agreed to do a triathlon to support an old friend of mine raise some money for a fantastic cause. Despite assurances 'you shouldn't worry about not being fit enough' it turns out it includes:

• A 1km swim in the Irish sea

• A 51km ride across North (hilly) Wales

• A 14km run up and down Mount Snowdon

The event is this Saturday and I'm pretty worried about not being fit enough.

Nonetheless I'll struggle round and keep my word and most importantly contribute to a fantastic cause along the way. The charity was set up after Frank Haines untimely death in 2006 and my friend who has asked me to get involved is his cousin Rob.

The trust supports 5 small youth work charities in Tower Hamlets that provide a critical means of support for young people in those areas. The theme of the charities is that they offer out of school activities and environments to poor young people in East London. In a borough full of tough schools and tough homes, the activities these charities lay on are a vital break for children and have proved very successful in keeping them out of trouble and showing them opportunities beyond their current environments. All of the charities are small, volunteer run and dependent on our donations to keep running.

Any donations are much appreciated. Thank you!!!!
