Edward Moore walks the Pacific Crest Trail for CAYSH

Story

Hello!

My flight is booked and my thru-hiking permit has arrived so I am officially hiking the Pacific Crest Trail starting on 8th April 2018!
This will involve crossing 2,659 miles of desert, snow-capped peaks, rivers and forests from the US border with Mexico to Canada. Covering the states of California, Oregon and Washington I will be climbing the equivalent of Everest over 16 times and taking 8.8 million steps to reach my goal.

This trek has been a dream of mine since I was 15.
After reading 'A Walk In The Woods' by Bill Bryson my love for the outdoors and adventure was born.

Living in Purley, south London, CAYSH is a charity that is local to me based in Croydon and has been providing an invaluable service since 1981 when it was founded. It provides advice and sheltered accommodation to young people facing homelessness situations and provides accommodation to over 250 young people each night who would otherwise be homeless. The charity's vision is to provide all young people who need it with a chance to have a safe place to call home and opportunities for the best possible chance in life.

I am extremely fortunate to be able to do this trek and if I can benefit others with your help in any way by doing it then perhaps that will be the biggest achievement of all.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and your donation is very very much appreciated. I will be regularly vlogging during the trek to keep people up to date with my progress, so please stay tuned!
