Virgin London Marathon 2012 · 22 April 2012 ·

Many children and young people know little about the countryside and rural way of life. Its programme of educational initiatives will introduce them, and their teachers, to the beauty, importance and diversity of our rural heritage, inspiring them to become passionate about its future and protect it for future generations.

Story

Thank you very much for visiting our page. We are running the London Marathon in Aid of the Countryside Alliance Foundation. The Foundation is the charitable branch of the Countryside Alliance that aims to spread awareness and educate children and adults alike about rural Britain. With current projects such as campaigning for the retention of rural post offices and village shops, more accurate food labeling, and promoting British produce, the Countryside Alliance Foundation’s work is truly vital to the welfare of Britain’s rural landscape.

Any donation is very gratefully received, no matter how small. Although, in this case bigger is definitely better! £5000 is a daunting target but we are confident that, with your generous help, we can achieve our target it.

Thank you.
