Edward Benyon Strictly Dancing Ball 2022!

Strictly Dancing Ball 2020 · 13 June 2020 ·
Dear Friends,
Thank you so much for visiting this JustGiving page. My name is Edward Benyon, I’m 57 years old and I work in Property.
Over the past 2 years many of you will have joined me in doing everything we could think of to support one of our dearest friends, along with his family, through a devastating illness. His fortitude was formidable, his ebullience of spirit continued second to none and his delight in the absurd was unequalled - all attributes I am going to need desperately and do my very best to harness as I set about the task of learning to dance in support of this wonderful charity. I know his characteristic peals of incredulous laughter will be ringing in my ears throughout rehearsals, (my passionate, two-left-foot fandom for Strictly was incomprehensible to him), but I am determined that on the night, in front of 400 people, I will do him proud.
A cancer diagnosis can be the catalyst for a retreat into loneliness and isolation - Teens Unite provides a long term safe space for young people with a cancer diagnosis to express and challenge themselves, without judgement, and to share experiences, good and bad, that most of their peers are unable to fathom. Please support them."
Please note that due to COVID we have had the event postponed until Saturday 26th March 2022, we cant wait until we finally get to dance!

Teens Unite supports young people fighting cancer to live their best life, while others search for a cure. We inspire young people to recognise their potential now and in the future and empower them to live every moment to the full. When you're faced with cancer, plenty of people will tell you what you can't do, but we show these young people what they can do; not letting the 'c' word hold them back or define who they are.
