Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My father, Chris, now 81, had a stroke in June 2015 whilst at his holiday home in his beloved Ibiza.

After a traumatic few months in various hospitals and care homes, Dad was transferred to Fen House in Ely, a Brain rehabilitation centre, part of BIRT and The Disabilities Trust. All the staff and Carers at Fen House have been quite fantastic and despite the fact that Dad will never fully recover nor walk again, you have made the last 15 months all the more comfortable and rewarding for him. He will be very sad to leave when he is transferred to his new Shelford Care Home late in January. We will miss you all!!

As a thank you to Linda, Lee and the whole team at Fen House I have cajoled myself, after 5 years off running and an Achilles operation, to don the running shoes again and pound the streets of Cambridge and Edinburgh for a very worthy cause. Thanks to my son Rupert and Doug Cuff for encouraging me to run Edinburgh again!!

Please either donate on line or send a cheque in the name of "The Disability Trust" to Dodson Jones, Bishop Bateman Court, Thompsons Lane, Cambridge CB5 8AQ
