Not long now folks! Flights booked to Geneva for June 16th. Thanks to all who have donated so far x

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On June 16th 2010 I'm going on a journey. After a short flight to Geneva, and an even shorter drive to the French town of Chamonix, we will then attempt to climb Mont Blanc. At well over 15,000ft it's Europes highest peak and has an amazing history (not all of which is for the faint hearted).

The challenge is far beyond anything that I've ever done, and ceratinly won't be easy, but that's a big part of the reason that I'm doing it.

The second reason is to raise money for a charity that I have a lot of affection for. The Wirral Society of the Blind and Partially Sighted (WSBPS) is a small but perfectly formed organsitation that I've worked with for over a year. Now it's my turn (with a bit of help from you) to give something back. The target is £4810 - a pound for every metre gained.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

You can track my progress via amountaintoclimb.net. I'll be hoping to post blog entries and images when I'm in Chamonix, so keep in touch.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Thanks, Ed
