Story
This year I will be running the London Marathon for Charlie's Challenge which raises money for Brian Tumour Research.
A good friend of mine Charlie Boutwood was diagnosed with an aggressive malignant brain tumour when he was just 20 months old. Against the odds, he made a remarkable recovery and now leads a full life thanks to the dedicated care and treatment he received.
In November 2022, one of my closest friends, Phil, lost his sister after a long battle with the same rare brain tumour as Charlie.
Charlie’s Challenge was established in 1993 by Charlie's parents and became a charity in 1995. Its aim is to improve the outlook for children diagnosed with brain tumours.
Brain Tumours are now the biggest cancer killer of children
and the biggest cancer killer of adults under the age of 40. Yet only 1% of all the cancer research money is spent on brain tumour research.
I aim to raise as much as I can for this important cause and would be grateful for all the support you can give.
Please donate what you can to help raise awareness for Brain Tumour Research.
