EVERY 90 SECONDS someone in the UK is admitted to hospital with an acquired brain injury (ABI). There are many possible causes, such as a fall, a road traffic accident, an assault, a tumour or a stroke. A brain injury can happen to anyone, at any time. When it does, we're here to help

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

As many of you know I took up running last year and to my surprise really enjoyed it. I ran 3 half marathons last year, most notably dressed as Dangermouse in Nottingham. This year I am running two Marathons in April 2009 in aid of Headway. On the 5th of April I will be making my Marathon debut in Paris, which I will then be following up with the Flora London Marathon on the 26th of April.

I have been inspired into this action by the incredible story of Dominc Hurley and his ambition to compete in the 2012 Paralympics. To have made the journey that he has is awe-inspiring and I want to support Headway due to the unique support they give to families of brain injury victims at a time when they have no one else to turn to.

Your support in helping my achieve my goal, firstly to finish both events and also to raise money for Headway is very much appreciated, whether the support be moral or financial (financial preferred) I sincerely thank you......
