I'm running Richmond RunFest 10k in Kew Gardens on 13th September to support Skylarks charity. 

My company Haymarket Media Group has been supporting Skylarks for a quite a while and now, in these challenging times, it's even more important for the families with disabled and special needs children to receive the same level of support.

About the charity: 

Skylarks is an award winning parent-led charity of 14 years old. We help and support hundreds of youngsters from 0-15 years with mild to severe additional needs and disabilities. In lockdown routines, familiar faces, lack of space, activities and the chance to connect has all being taken away abruptly and suddenly. Our youngsters don't understand why and when they might resume to 'their normality' and it's not only confusing for them but hugely demanding for their parent carers.Skylarks ensure that everyone including their whole family are enabled giving them confidence, advice, workshops, play sessions, therapies and a listening ear, in and out of lockdown. We aim to empower each and everyone so that no matter what their challenge is, they all reach their potential and everyone feels part of our unique and welcoming family and thrive. Being different can be confusing, challenging, isolating. At Skylarks we have an open door and welcome everyone from anywhere.
