It's been three years since we lost Gala Colover, my most beloved sister in law. She was born this month (May) 23rd, and this year she would have been celebrating her 41st birthday, Just like me.

Gala left a huge vacuum behind her. Our family will never be the same without her brilliant, humorous, and life loving character. I think a lot about her, on the way to the gym (passing her cemetery) and when I run trying to loose my pregnancy weight/ PND:  I see her determined uncompromising image dragging myself and all her girl-friends behind in marathon walks all around London. We all suffered (quietly), and couldn't believe she actually did it!!!   Her mental and physical strength will never, ever be forgotten. 

Gala managed to raise about £10,000 for cancer research through five events. She participated in the moon walk four times and the Royal Marsden half marathon. All during her toughest battle with the most aggressive C of all. Her positivity will always be engraved in our memory. 

I'm joining Cancer Research UK's Race for Life this year because for Gala it was a huge source of hope. She was on several drug trials in which at least one of them, gave her minimum an extra year.
