Saint Michael's is here for people with a variety of terminal illnesses who need help that the NHS cannot offer. Without the hospice, these people could be left to face the complex issues and forgotten challenges of terminal illness alone. Your donations are vital in raising the £5million that the hospice spends annually providing this care.

Originally my employer was Nostrum Group and based in Harrogate, and supported the hospice through similar sporting activities. I like local businesses supporting local charities like St Michaels. Now Nostrum Group is subsumed into Equiniti Credit Services, and EQCS , though geographically a bit removed from Harrogate are still supporting St Michaels in this way. This is my second effort in support of St Michaels, and I like.

I love the Yorkshire Dales country side, I've not done YTP before - walking 24 miles and up three of the Pennines higher peaks, within 12 hours. I've done a 16 and a 20 mile walk in preparation, in addition to the occasional run and weekly gym visits. Your feet hurt at the end. I'm now at an age where success in these things doesn't come automatically. I'm fairly confident, but not confident in a terrific time! Praying for good weather I think is useful :) .
