Fastest Marathon Dressed as a Egg, World Record attempt for Alzheimer's!

London Marathon 2019 · 28 April 2019 ·
After 35 full marathons I felt it was time for a slightly different challenge this year!
April the 28th will be my third London marathon and this year I will attempting to break a Guinness World record. I will be attempting to run the fastest marathon dressed as a egg!
Why you ask? Why not... It felt like a egg-cellent idea at the time! However it will take a 'cracking' effort as in order to set the record I need to complete the marathon in under 4 hrs.
I am doing this challenge to try and raise some funds for Alzheimer's Research UK. Nearly everyone knows someone who has been either directly or indirectly affected by Alzheimer's. Yet with great advances across research, medical scientists are now closer than ever to understanding this disease. Over the course of the last 10+ years I have seen my grandma completely deteriorate from Alzheimer's to the point that she didn't recognise my grandad. She will continue to live out her remaining time on this earth in a home, unable to leave her bed. It is such a shame that many of the older generation will finish their lives in the same state as my grandma. Even more heartbreakenily is cases of early-onset Alzheimer's that can affect those as young as 40.
Please give what you can to help support my eggtastic challenge that will leave me certainly feeling fried!
